Classic Iced Peppermint Mocha Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 shots of espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup of milk or a milk alternative
  • 1 tbsp. cacao powder or cocoa
  • 1-2 tbsp. maple syrup, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
  • ice cubes
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, peppermint candy pieces

Instructions
 

  • Brew and Chill: Start with a strong coffee base, preferably two shots of espresso, and let it cool.
  • Mix Flavors: In a glass, combine the chilled coffee with cacao powder and maple syrup, adding a touch of vanilla extract if desired.
  • Add Peppermint: Stir in a small amount of peppermint extract, being cautious with the quantity to avoid overpowering the drink.
  • Garnish and Serve: Add ice to the glass and garnish with optional toppings like whipped cream or chocolate shavings for an extra festive touch.
