What is the Arzum Okka Rich Spin Pro?

Arzum's flagship, and the only machine here that also makes something other than coffee.

Arzum publishes one to five cups in a brew, a stainless steel cooking pot in a black and chrome body, classic and strong Turkish coffee modes, a velvetiser function for silky frothed drinks, a milk frother, automatic shut-off, and 120V ETL certification. It also makes hot chocolate, salep and hot cocktails. The body is 203mm square and 254mm tall.

How well does it brew Turkish coffee?

Two strengths is a real brewing control, and nothing else here has it.

Turkish coffee strength is normally set by the ratio you spoon in, which means getting it wrong is a whole pot wasted. A machine that changes how it cooks between a classic and a strong setting is adjusting the extraction rather than the dose, so the same measure of coffee gives two genuinely different cups.

That is the Rich Spin Pro's brewing argument, and it is a good one for a household where one person takes it sade and another takes it stronger. What it does not publish is foam sensing, so like the Okka Minio it is working from temperature rather than from the foam itself.

Overflow, foam and walking away

Automatic shut-off is published; an overflow system is not, on this listing.

Arzum publishes auto shut-off for the Rich Spin Pro but does not name an overflow prevention system on it the way it does on the Minio. We record what is stated, so it earns for shut-off and not for overflow, and that is a gap worth knowing about on a five-cup brew where there is more coffee to climb.

In practice Arzum machines share the platform, and it would be reasonable to expect the same system. Reasonable expectation is not published specification, and this site does not score the difference.

Capacity and who it serves

Five cups, and then a second drink entirely.

Five Turkish cups matches the Karaca Hatir as the largest brew here. What the Arzum adds is that the same machine makes salep, the hot orchid-root drink served in Turkish winters, and hot chocolate through the velvetiser.

That widens who the machine is for. A Turkish coffee machine gets used by the household members who drink Turkish coffee. This one gets used by the ones who do not, as well.

Arzum Okka Rich Spin Pro vs Karaca Hatir

The two five-cup machines, and they answer different questions.

The Karaca has the ember mode, an overflow prevention system and audible and visual alerts. It is the better machine at the specific job of making Turkish coffee.

The Arzum has strength modes, the velvetiser, the milk frother and a broader drinks range, plus ETL certification stated on the listing. It is the better machine if it has to justify its counter space to a whole household.

Is the Arzum Okka Rich Spin Pro worth it?

Worth it if the extra drinks are real to you, not if they are a nice-to-have.

It is the most expensive machine in this category, and the premium buys the frothing and the strength modes rather than better Turkish coffee. On the coffee alone the ETHNIQ publishes more for far less.

If hot chocolate and salep will actually get made, the maths changes, because you are replacing two appliances with one.

Who should buy the Rich Spin Pro (and who should not)

Buy it for a household that drinks more than Turkish coffee and entertains.

It suits a family where tastes differ, a kitchen with room for one good machine rather than three, and anybody who wants Arzum's flagship rather than its compact model. The chrome finish is built to be seen.

Do not buy it if Turkish coffee is the only thing it will ever make, in which case you are paying for a frother you will not use. And if the foam is what you care about most, no Arzum here publishes foam sensing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the velvetiser on the Rich Spin Pro do?

It froths and blends hot drinks, so the machine also makes hot chocolate, salep and hot cocktails alongside Turkish coffee.

How many cups does the Arzum Okka Rich Spin Pro make?

One to five Turkish coffee cups per brew, which ties it with the Karaca Hatir as the largest here.

What is the difference between classic and strong on the Rich Spin Pro?

Two brewing modes that change how the coffee is cooked rather than how much you spoon in, so the same dose gives two different strengths.

Is the Rich Spin Pro different from the Okka Minio?

Yes. The Minio is the compact four-cup machine with no frothing. The Rich Spin Pro makes five cups, has strength modes and adds the velvetiser and milk frother.
