Why the barcode is a genuinely different idea
Every other pod machine asks you to pick a size. This one already knows.
On a Keurig or a Nespresso, the capsule is passive and you choose the volume. Get it wrong and an espresso capsule becomes a long weak drink.
The T Disc carries its own recipe. A hot chocolate disc gets a different volume and a different temperature from an espresso disc, decided by the manufacturer rather than by the person at the button.
