What is the ETHNIQ Electric Turkish Coffee Pot?

ETHNIQ's small one, built around packing flat rather than around sensing.

ETHNIQ publishes a 300ml stainless steel body, one to four cup capacity, 120V operation, fast brewing, a single on-off button, and a foldable handle for home, travel and storage. It measures 165 by 123 by 144mm with the handle folded.

It sits below the same maker's Cook Sense machine and shares none of its electronics.

How well does it brew Turkish coffee?

Stainless pot, one button, and your own judgement about when to stop.

There is no foam sensing and no ember mode published here. This is a heated stainless pot with an on-off switch, and the coffee it makes is as good as your attention to it.

That is not damning. A cezve on a hob has exactly the same interface and has made Turkish coffee for five hundred years. What it means is that the money is buying convenience and portability rather than a better cup, and it is worth being clear which of those you are shopping for.

Overflow, foam and walking away

Nothing published, so treat it as a pot rather than as a machine.

ETHNIQ publishes no automatic shut-off, no overflow prevention and no boil-dry protection for this model. Our safety criterion scores it on that basis, and the practical instruction is simple: stay with it.

At 300ml with up to four cups going in, there is also less headroom than the 600ml pots have, so the margin for a moment's inattention is thinner. If leaving the room is the point, the Cook Sense from the same brand is the model that does it.

Capacity and who it serves

One to four cups from 300ml, which is a full pot at four.

Four Turkish cups is roughly 240 to 320ml of coffee, so a 300ml body is at its limit serving four. Realistically this is a one to two cup pot with the capacity to stretch, in the same way the Any Morning's 250ml is.

The folding handle is what earns it its place. Folded, it is a 165mm parcel that goes in a case, and no other electric pot here does that.

ETHNIQ 300ml vs Arcadia Go

A pot and a machine, split by whether they need a wall.

The Arcadia Go runs on a USB-C battery, so it works on a campsite. It makes two cups and its body is not stainless.

The ETHNIQ needs a socket but gives you a stainless pot, twice the cup rating and a handle that folds. For hotel rooms, family visits and a case going in a car boot, it is the better of the two. For anywhere with no power, it is not an option at all.

Is the ETHNIQ 300ml worth it?

Worth it as a travel pot. Not worth it as the one on your counter.

Stainless, foldable, 120V and simple is a good combination for a bag, and ETHNIQ makes a serious machine in the Cook Sense, so the brand is not the question.

What it publishes is thin: no shut-off, no sensing, no wattage, no warranty, no brew time. At home, its own sibling and several others do far more for a similar outlay.

Who should buy the ETHNIQ 300ml (and who should not)

Buy it if you want Turkish coffee wherever there is a socket, in something that packs.

It suits travel with power, a second home, a studio kitchen with no space for an appliance, and anybody who wants stainless rather than plastic in a portable pot.

Do not buy it as your main pot. If you want ETHNIQ's real product, that is the Cook Sense, which senses the foam and adds an ember mode. And if the plan involves camping rather than hotels, the socket is the problem and the Arcadia Go solves it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the ETHNIQ 300ml pot switch itself off?

ETHNIQ publishes no automatic shut-off for this model, so it should be watched while it brews rather than left.

How is the ETHNIQ 300ml different from the ETHNIQ Cook Sense?

The Cook Sense is the automatic machine, with foam sensing, ember mode and shut-off. This is a simple heated stainless pot with an on-off button and a folding handle.

How many cups does the ETHNIQ 300ml make?

One to four Turkish coffee cups, though four fills a 300ml pot to its limit.

Is the ETHNIQ 300ml good for travel?

Yes, that is what the folding handle is for. It needs a mains socket, so for camping the battery-powered Arcadia Go is the better choice.
